all in the family

I have some new family members. I've started a small collection here.

I can't say I can play any of these very good but it's nice to have these guys in the house with me. It's like a group of new friends. Actually the guitar has been with me for years. The ukuleles and mandolin are new. I found out a few month ago that ukes come in different sizes. There's the small (concert) uke, a tenor and a baritone. The tenor is fast becoming my favorite. Ukes are incredibly easy to play. My hope is to teach the kids, have a little uke partridge family thing going there.

The mandolin is a challenge, I'm really going to force myself to practice and learn. Not as easy as the others. You really have to make your fingers feel 'smaller' on the fingerboard. Ukes you can have big o'fat fingers. Mandolin everything so tight together.

You're probably thinking, how much did he sink into this obsession de'jour? Not much, only $200.00 bucks! Really! I found a great online store that always has the greatest deals. Go check them out for yourself.

Musicians Friend: go buy something
