aftermath

How do you talk about an aftermath that hasn’t become ‘after’ yet? How do you say we ‘survived’ the storm, when there are people still striving to ‘survive’? How do you say we’re ‘helping’ when you don’t see a government truck full of food and water on every street, in every neighborhood in the path of destruction?

We are better than this. We are masters of logistics. We move armies and behemoth ships of oil around the globe. We can’t get water and a hot meal to everyone that needs it?

It’s leadership. Plain and simple. The lack of it.
