Mother Nature and Government incompetence has distracted us from our other ongoing storm. A storm that has killed, maimed and mentally backhanded the American Forces and families, Iraqis and a whole region. We need an exit plan, and we need it now. The argument that if we leave now the terrorist win is faulty. There are no terrorists in Iraq in the numbers and forces the government wants us to believe, wants us to fear. These are insurgents, rebels and Sunni ‘Patriots’ (for lack of a better term). I’m sure from their perspective, right or wrong they feel like patriots repelling a foreign occupier.I read a nice article today, one many that suggest a plan for withdrawal. It’s as good as any. None will be as simple as people would like, but we need something in the planning stage to get us out of there and save some face.
