My neck is stiff … ask me why.
Ok, I spent a majority of the day moving pallets of gloves from one warehouse to another with a forklift known as a Bendi. It’s like a regular forklift only it’s designed to pull and lift pallets up onto warehouse racks from narrow aisles. I can drive the heck out of a regular none-bending forklift, but these articulated jobbers are something different. It feels a little like driving a car pulling a trailer, only you’re driving from the trailer.
So, I had a chance to ‘practice’ today since everyone else was doing their inventory and I’m moving mine into a new warehouse. I only managed to munch one case of latex gloves, nearly turned one pallet into shredded wheat, almost bent a rack upright and scraped a lot of yellow paint off the side of the lift.
Oh, why is my neck stiff? Looking up of course. I was watching the wiggly 1000 lbs pallet bounce back and forth at the top of the extended forks 20 feet over my head. I advised everyone to stay far away from me or they would be victims of disposable glove avalanches. They took heed.
Also these bendies are fun too!
