Quick war report.
I read two articles recently.
The Revolt of the Generals:
“The future of our military is at risk. Our military and our families are stretched thin … “
"Much of our ground equipment is worn out . . .”
“Most importantly -- this is the most important point -- incidents have increased from 150 a week to over 700...”
Bush: Iraq Invasion My Responsibility:
“It is true that much of the intelligence turned out to be wrong . . . “
“We can ... expect that the elections will be followed by days of uncertainty . . .”
"These objectives, not timetables set by politicians in Washington, will drive our force levels in Iraq."
Slowly … but surely the argument starts to reach a convergent point.
We went to war. Can’t change that, damage done.
How do we get back home? Finish the job. What’s the job?
How long will the job take? How much more will the job cost?
How long before the President dumps Cheney for someone with a heart and a soul?
