What a week

What a week . . .

Good night almighty what a week I had.

The biggest most pain in the butt event was doing my taxes returns online. I think performing my own vasectomy on myself would have been more pleasurable. I’m not going to mention the service, but let’s just say their logo is almost identical to the Libyan flag.
This would have been the 4th year in a row that I have used this service. Every time before was quick, painless and eventless. I wish I could say the same for this years adventure. This will be the last year I use this service. First I get my W-2 and my 1099’s and other stuff all ready. Sit down, log into the web site and start going at it. I entered in all the new information (they keep you information from previous years on file). I just pretty much put my new W-2 info in and I’m nearly done. I did have issues with the live chat advisor, he had know idea where block 12 of my 1099 was suppose to go on the online forms. I eventually figured it out when he was “going to do some research”. You have it checked, fix errors, and then E-file it. HA! e-file, what a joke. My federal return bounced back “rejected” … there were errors but the software didn’t know what, where .. or how it happened. It just said “print them out and mail them” … only it didn’t give me any opportunity to print them out.
I did call the service guy and after about a half-hour of Mozart hold music a guy came on and tried to help, and after he went to “research the problem” he said … “sir, it’s not rejected, just on hold” … ok, what the difference?
Needless to say I was frustrated and pissed. But I tried again this morning to check the software… yes, still “rejected” but this time it let me print the forms. Finally.
The online tax service was either VERY swamped or full of bugs. Either way it told me they weren’t prepared this season, I won’t go back to them again.
To top it off tonight my best friend was screwed over royally at work. And my daughter started puking … and has only just stopped, only because she feel asleep. (update: sleeping doesn't stop her form barfing apparently)
Tomorrow is going to be a better day … weather report says rain. Oh really? Fine … the sun hurts my eyes anyway.

  1. Just stopping by to be a butt; The name of the company that you worked so hard to not mention and blot out in the livechat is still visible in your entry. Years of Where's Waldo kicking your rear.

  2. yes, I saw that ... darn it.
I was thinking that people would figure out who it was by the Libyan Flag reference anyway.

    btw: where have you been?
