This is ridiculous. A man supposedly fighting for ‘freedom’ and ‘liberty’ pays the ultimate price, and his family and he can’t have the symbol of his faith, in this case Wicca, engraved onto a plaque honoring his service and sacrifice? Isn’t this America? Wasn’t a big freakin’ hunk of founding fathers Deists? Another military (VA) ignored faith?
I feel that if you died in the service of you nation in battle, you can have a smiley face with a goatee chiseled on your memorial or tombstone if you so wished it.
Sgt. Stewart, thank you … you honor all Americans with your sacrifice. Here, if you can’t have a pentacle on your memorial, I’ll place one on my blog here for you.
