Traditional (commercialized) weddings are expensive. Crippling expensive!
We’re in our 40’s do we really need the big traditional wedding anyway?
Can’t we just stand in front of our close family and selected friends? Exchange vows, rings … in our Sunday best of course, not tuxes and gowns. Have a bouquet of flowers to toss, a simple cake, a potluck reception. Get a short but romantic honeymoon?
Let’s spend the money and energy on our future. It is the “Happily Ever After” that is the goal, not the ‘Glamorous day in June” that really matters.
