Rep. Edward Markey of Massachusetts, ranking Democrat on the House Energy and Commerce Committee's telecommunications and internet panel, had a different view: "The NSA stands for Now Spying on Americans."
Now spying on Americans? Wait, we aren’t that naive to think that we weren’t always spying on ourselves do you? That’s insane, of course we have been. Heck, the government knows where you are, who you are, where you work … they’ve tagged you for crying out loud, Social Security Number? Exactly!
The bigger question is why can’t this administration keep it secret? Can’t spy without getting caught, runs secret prisons and torturing that end up on the front page. My guess, actually not much of a guess, being that the evidence is all around us, is that they are freakin’ incompetent!
They can’t keep a secret, they leak out all kinds of stuff. They are lousy at collecting and analyzing intelligence, 9/11 … they read the memos and did nothing about it. They can’t fight a war, that THEY STARTED themselves! Now they can’t end it without looking like bigger idiots than they are now. Can’t find the most wanted criminal in the world. Bin Laden what, puts out an update video every 4 months or so, sticking his tongue out us. “Neener, Neener .. you can’t find me”
They manage natural disasters like a bucket of scorpions would manage a Campfire Girl meeting. Did they ever drain New Orleans? As if it mattered, they bussed the population all across the country, in some retro-geographic-racial-diaspora.
The only two things they can do really, is get elected (using fear and tapping bigotry) and only by a slight margin, and making billionaires out of millionaires.
Not that congress is much better, they kind of just roll over to show the soft underbelly when confronted with tough issues.
So here, do me a favor – fire all the boobs, they are worthless. When you vote, look for the name you don’t recognize, the ones that haven’t been yappin’ their jaws saying nothing. The ones that aren’t being investigated or indicted. If you don’t know them, that’s a good thing. Vote for them.
And a note to the spooky NSA-like guys: Go ahead and track my phone calls, purchases, travels etc… you’re just going to find mushy love-talk between my fiancĂ©e and I, that exotic trip to the dump I took a few months back, and that $3.00 a gallon tank of gas I purchased that reduced the grocery fund down to a few Ramen days for me and my kids.
Just don’t let me catch you … ya bone-heads.
BTW - Liberals love polls so much, this just in from the Washington Post:
ReplyDeleteA majority of Americans initially support a controversial National Security Agency program to collect information on telephone calls made in the United States in an effort to identify and investigate potential terrorist threats, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll.
The new survey found that 63 percent of Americans said they found the NSA program to be an acceptable way to investigate terrorism.
funny, I don't remember being against listening in on Americans for the good of the nation. I think they should do more actually .. only they need to keep it under wraps .. OR IT WON'T work!!!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't jail any innocent American. I'm against jailing all innocent people.
Thanks for the comments. Nice blog you have there yourself. Keep up the good work.
Oh, and I don't remember saying the Clinton administration did any better with intelligence, or we wouldn't have any 'terrorist' problems now right?
ReplyDeleteFailure to resolve the issue is failure ... no matter who was in charge. So, yes ... 'liberals' failed miserably too.
Thanks for the observation. My point is that this adminstration fails at many points, just like the last one, just like the next one.
I just don't want the 'failures' to stay in power.
believe me, I'm not going to vote for any incumbants, democrat or republican. All new faces please.
