Post Memorial Day Post

Ok first of all … the weekend is about risk and sacrifice, remembrance of the Dead Heroes of our Nation. The best article I have read on this topic, in the current political light. Lions Led by Donkeys. Outstanding!

Saturday. Rain, LOTS and lots of rain … then … more rain. We headed to the beach to celebrate my daughter’s 5th birthday, as we have been doing for 5 years … a trip to the beach to meet grandpa and grandma, many times camping. We were NOT going to camp this weekend. The rain was miserable. Also, managed to kill a bird with the new van.

Sunday. Some rain, but spent the afternoon shopping for wedding dresses. Read Prior Post. I can’t believe how much weddings cost. OMG

Monday. Sun came out! Woo woo! Spent evening at parent’s house and ate too much. But left my camera there.

Today. Tuesday .. the ‘let-down’ Tuesday. My daughter, on her 5th birthday … coughed all night long, neither of use had much ‘good’ sleep last night. Tonight I’ve drugged her with some Motrin, cough syrup, a benadryl and her humidifier on high. I also have her inhaler poised for middle of the night administrations.
Much of the stress from work was … the same ol’ same ol’. Which is very stressful for me. So that bummed me out … and I got scolded for mentioning to the boss that we need a freakin’ toilet. Sorry, I’ll just drive home and take a crap then.

Poor Kitten had to drive up to PDX and get re-fitted in the dress … to be altered. Which in essence made the dress double in price. I hadn’t worried about money too much before that … I had to reach for a paper bag this time.

My mom gave me some advice: “Breathe! It will be wonderful.”
… yep, breathing … into the bag, into the bag.
