Random Tuesday

• Kids … they are driving me crazy tonight.  Kitten and I both have agreed to send them off to gypsies, but I upgraded my son to ‘medical experiments’, for he hath done pissith me off.  It’s too hot to deal with bratty kids today.  


• Invasion of the pod people.  I must admit…. I’m a pod person.  I don’t necessarily walk around with the buds in my ears all day.   But the iPod is running all day.   It’s hooked up to the stereo on my desk at work.  I plug it into the car on the way home, then dock it into iTunes … and listen some more.   I also listen to my podcasts while cooking or doing dishes.  Watched this little clip on PBS the other day: IPOD PHENOMENON     favorite two terms in this piece: Ego-casting & The Podification of Society.  I love social scientist.  They have the cleverest jargon.


• OMG .. freakin’ hot around here.  95 yesterday 85 today.   This is May … this is Oregon.  Too hot … too hot.   This is July/August weather.   I’ll tolerate it then.  Right now it’s just too early.  Premature Summer: Hate it.


• I’ve been saying “F**K” a lot lately.   And I am ashamed.  Very unlike me.


• Got my new issue of Esquire today.   I think I know how the ladies feel when they look through a ‘women’s’ magazine and see all the models in there.  These guys have the perfect hair, 6-pack tummy, big shiny metal watch and the Italian wardrobe.  I’m sitting here in my Champion swim trunks, and a Big Dog t-shirt.  I need a shave, and my hair is just blah and my watch (Timex) broke 6-months ago and I haven’t replaced it yet.


• Braided my daughter’s hair tonight.


• I’m folding laundry


• Don’t think they’ll be making a movie chronicling my life just yet.
