Many large and small issues came up today to remind me that life is short, precious and should not be wasted on anything less than bliss. And when I mean bliss I don’t meant the hedonistic selfish pursuit of some kind of masturbatory joy. I mean finding the perfect spot of peaceful happiness in the place you are standing, in the time you are living. So, first I want to thank a few people that helping find that spot.
Thank you Mom, Dad, Step-mom, Step-dad … you have given example, support and love.
Thank you Eli my son, you gave me the reason to live when I thought I didn’t want to anymore.
Thank you Addie my daughter, for keeping me young at heart in my growing age.
Thank you Sara, Addie’s mother, who has passed on into the universe leaving me with the treasure that is our daughter.
Thank you Christie … for re-igniting a fire within me, for taking on my family, for loving us, and me. You are an important ingredient in my recipe toward bliss. And in 10 days, we will be joined as one unit. I look forward to every second, to every waking moment, to every sleepy dream.
From now on, while packing boxes, finding purpose in my work, blending a new family, becoming a homeowner for the first time in my life … I will reflect on the bliss.
“You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.”Buddha
