Soon to end this nomad life

And … my back hurts. But it is a good hurt.
I am once again packing up and moving, hopefully for the last time ever. With the conjoining of our new family, comes a new place to put my crap. Actually it’s a new chance to lighten my load even more. I look forward to disposing duplicate items, old stuff I didn’t get a chance to get rid of in the last move.
It feels good actually, to get up and move and lift. I’m sore all over and a bit sweaty but … I feel good.
The truth is I hadn’t finished unpacking from the last move a year ago. So I’ve been loading up the new van with boxes I had packed over a year ago and taking them to temporary storage. Then I guess box by box I will go through and either dispose or ‘blend’ into our home as the family allows.
How do I feel about that?
Great! I was born to be a hybrid man: a family man. And with the right partner all my sappy dreams will come true. I’m sure I’ve found that partner.
9 days until the wedding.
I need to get my entire house packed up and in storage by the end of this weekend. The kids and I will be camping in an empty apartment for a week, then we move into our new home. Perhaps we’ll make s’mores over the stove burner.
