I'm a little obsessed

Ok, iTunes has had me hooked from the very day I downloaded it, even with its pain-in-the-ass issues. But now I’m kind of obsessed with the database/statistics aspect of it. I’m a music whore. But when you can access all your music with a click of a mouse, that’s like manna to starving audiophile.
I create playlists now with impossible filters, like “last song played that is between 3 and 4 minutes long and is a cover of a girl band song from the 90’s” and … Damned if it don’t come back with 12 or so hits. I’m weird like that.
I have 7,333 items in my iTunes, sure some are audio-books, podcasts, a couple “Lost” episodes that I missed at the end of last season, but the bulk is all music.
And it does NOT help that I found Last.fm
And that’s not the bad part. I think I’m getting my family addicted too. Now everyone wants an iPod. My son needs a replacement for his shuffle is toast. The wife and step-son are also antsy about getting into the digital music herd.
Apple .. Mr. Jobs .. you be genius! An eeeeevil genius!


Btw … my mom and the iPod have the same birthday.
