All over but the painting ...

… well, we’ll get the rest of the outside painted in the spring. We passed all our final inspections on our remodel. The house looks great. Well the new part does, now we have to make the other half of the house look like the new part.



All the dust, the strange workers, the pounding and sawing have come to a quiet halt. The addition looks outstanding, as does the outside of the house. I’m proud of us. We did a great job surviving the mess, the contractor and the trips to Home Depot and Lowes.

A home. It’s been a long time since I had called any house a home. It’s been a series of apartments, institutional dorms etc. Finally, looks like I’ve found a place to grow old in. Well, at least until the kids grow up and out. Then we’re selling this place and moving to Pebble Beach. Just don’t tell the wife yet. LOL
