Cha cha cha chia!

My daughter, for some strange reason ... I am blaming the damned television ads, wanted a Chia Pet for Christmas. Well after the 24 hour soaking, we applied the little gooey seeds to Scooby Doo's head.
I'm hoping they sprout. I put the head in the window sill above the sink, and I hope it gets enough sunlight. We've been under a black rain filled sky for the last few days, and I don't see any sun in the forecast. I hope this thing can grow in the 'filtered' light of an Oregon winter.
