Oregon: Second Most Average State

,,,

.... below is a little clip from a story I heard today on NPR's Podcast Most Emailed Stories. I found this very interesting indeed. I guess they (AP) originally did this due to the shifting dates for state primaries. Suggesting that these shifts are because these states think they are missing out on choosing the next president, claiming they are the ideal snapshot of America. Well, this study clarifies which states are average. My suggestion is that we officially use this listing to schedule presidential primaries on election years. We would have a primary election on every tuesday starting the first week in January. The most 'average' state gets to go first, the least, last (sorry West Virginia). We may have to double up some weeks to meet the November election. The census would update these figures, so each state has an opportunity to be "The America State".

Side note: I was rather taken back that Oregon is so average. I thought we were rather unique. Perspective is everything.
