I'm so very sorry . . .

I'm so sorry I burnt the steaks tonight. Please forgive me.
(looks like that fly likes them well done)

I know you asked me if I was going to post a self deprecating note about how I'm a stinky cook and that I ruined your Friday night. Honestly, I don't grill that often. And if you haven't noticed, I don't do anything to a really competent level, I just do ok on many many things. Jack of all trades, master of none. Me. oh, I guess it was a little self deprecating, sheesh you're right.

  1. The secret to cooking steak on a barbecue without burning it, but still cooking it evenly all the way through, is to lay a sheet of aluminum foil over the grill. I know, it's somehow un-American to do that, but the only time I burned anything on the Weber this summer was the time I left the foil off the grill. Make sure you spray no-stick on the foil ... before it's anywhere near the fire.
