. . . if you're a doomed website.

Last week I put my e-commerce website to rest. I was allowed to develop and run a website for my employer. I came up with the concept, pitched it and off it went. Very exciting, it gave me life. I in turn, gave it life. Not even up a year, it changed hosts twice. I tripled and quadrupled its catalog. I sent it to every search engine, studied search engine optimization, bought pay-per-click advertising, everything. I wasn't really given a chance to pull it out of the red. It "distracted" me … it "diluted the corporate mind share" …. It "confused our customers". It was my child and I had to euthanize it. I sacrificed it to the corporate gods. RIP. Glovehub.com, I will remember you always.
