Grrrr….
I just finished one of my online courses this evening. These University of Phoenix courses have virtual teams. We're usually assigned a long paper and a presentation that we're collectively to finish with some kind of academic professionalism. PLEASE! There's nothing academic or professional about some of these fuster clucks! However, my last class's team was pretty good.
Working in a team is hard to do when you're face to face with the person. Working from inside a newsgroup is insane! All but two of my slides were removed because they were considered part of the "clutter". This was bull. If he actually read my slides he would have seen that one slide was summarizing the following three slides. So what did he do? He left the first summary slide and the first detail slide … and dropped the two last slides! How does that make sense? It would make more sense to just leave that first summary slide and drop the three detail slides! Oh, and the information architecture diagram that I spent hours on got bumped from the presentation and the paper!
Let's just say my team evaluation was not forgiving!
I wish I could work alone in a cave sometimes.
