Turkey After Action Report

I ate too much. Done.

Ok, I will elaborate. I ate WAY too much. But isn't that what we're suppose to do on Thanksgiving Day? I got up and watched the parade, drank some coffee, read the paper (after I took 60 lbs of ads out of it,) and watched my wife make some pumpkin pies. Later I got dressed up, with a tie no less, and went over to the in-laws to pig out. Then later we went over to my mother's house where we pigged out on desert. My belly was full … tight like a snare drum. If I had fallen down I was sure to pop open at the seams.

Working backwards in time here: Wednesday night I went to see the play my wife has been playing piano for for what seems like a year now. It was a great musical; I took my daughter to it even though she would be seeing her older sister as a stripper. I hope that doesn't cause permanent damage. Her sister Amanda played Gypsy Rose Lee in the musical Gypsy at the local community theater. My step-son-in-law-to-be was also in it; everyone was great. Good time was had by all.

Back one more day: Tuesday was my birthday. I'm now 43. Almost immediately I started to have new pains and starting making "when I was your age" references.

The 20th was also the day I completed my 365 photo group on flickr. Go see my 365 set; it's fabulous. Really.
