The best of both worlds . . .

in 3DI took my 6 year-old daughter to the "Hanna Montana/Miley Cyrus" concert movie today. I kind of surprised it on her, heck I didn't even think of it until I was reading the paper this morning. Some of our best bonding moments are when I sit down on the floor with her and watch her favorite shows. Some of them have now become my favorites. We mostly share a common taste in cartoons, but we also like the family sit-coms on Disney. One of our favorites is Hanna Montana. It's cute and silly enough to keep my daughter's attention, and funny enough to keep mine. My daughter was also Hanna Montana for Halloween this year, so she's a big fan. I've caught her standing on her bed (stage), singing into a toy (mic) singing to her stuffed animals and dolls lined up in front of here. As for role models, she can do a lot worse.

We got a huge bucket of popcorn, some large drinks (with their own undertows) and Adz got some really expensive movie candy. There were only about a dozen of us in the theatre. I think the rush is over on this movie, but we had a good time. The movie was in 3D, which I thought was cool. More movies should be in 3D. We did see some previews for some 3D movie projects: U23D, Journey 3-d, Coraline. They all look pretty fun.

p.s. Say what you will about Disney, they make good family shows. But you know how many movies, toons or t.v. shows that involves families are portrayed by Disney? Single Parents or even orphaned. Have you ever notice that? Just think about it, Bambi, Pinocchio, Little Mermaid, etc. And even some of their t.v. shows, Suite Life and Hanna Montana are all single parent entertainment. Weird huh.
