Is it right to blog from work?

I don’t know, but I’m doing it now.

Monday, beginning of March: I’m sitting here at my desk at work waiting for the EOM reports to be finished so I can start receiving inventory for the new month. Someone hasn’t finished chiseling out the numbers on that stone tablet we use up at the main office.

So today I did everything else: googled something, set up my igoogle page while I was at it, checked my stats on my two webpages, looked over the state of Oregon jobs page, then looked over the Monster.com listings, then looked over the careerbuilder.com listings, then answered somebody’s stupid question, then went to lunch and spilt diet pepsi on me because the new drive-thru girl at a famous taco chain didn’t put the lid on tightly. I looked over a couple inventory items that may need ordering. Got my paycheck; sobbed. Talked to my 401k planner and he pointed out how much money I’ve lost in the current market; sobbed. I text messaged my wife a couple times. I sent a twitter about the taco girl. I read some drivel. I typed a couple orders and prepped my receiving. Then I participated on an online discussion in my online classroom about how SQL will save the world someday.

So right now I’m just watching the clock & blogging from work.

That’s about my entire day, every day. Except I don’t get paid everyday, and I don’t discuss my 401k worth everyday.
