Italian Sausage Braising in Beer

I ran to the store this morning to get milk; an almost $4.00 gallon of milk. I thought, hey I feel like sausages. When did 12 link sausages go up to nearly $7.00 ?!?
I guess somewhere when it took $61 to fill my gas tank, yes probably about the same time.
what happened? I don't mind prices going up as long as my paycheck goes up by the same rate. I guess that is the problem huh?
