Last night we ventured out into the night to watch a Jonathan Coulton and Paul and Storm show at the Mission Theater in Portland. This was the second visit to this venue to see the guys. I think it was the fact that it was the best weather we've had in months, a late start to the show (leaving more time for people to 'beer-up') and the fact that The Mission had the heat cranked, but it was a really randy crowd. It seemed that there were less music played and more interaction and comedy riffs; going back and forth with the audience. That was fun too. I enjoyed it, even with the group behind me talking through the softer songs and a lady cutting off Jonathan's introduction to the song "I'm your Moon" with her knowledge of Pluto. Paul and Storm were a hoot as usual; ding-dongs and twinkies were flying all over. I had the "communication breakdown" burger, spinach artichoke dip and two terminator stouts. But what I will remember most is the ice water chuggin' ... good times.
