Spankeriffic!

I'm a little late, but last Saturday night the wife and I went to see the Asylum Street Spankers and the Aladdin Theater in Portland. You'll have to visit the website for a description of the type of music they play. I would fail in giving it an accurate genre assignment. I'll just say eclectic. I've been a secret fan for a couple years now, but I had never been to a concert. Really, I haven't been to many concerts. Only whilst married to my wife, have I enjoyed the lion's share of my concert experiences. That and the dental plan is why I married her.
Show was awesome. Fun. Funny, and a little naughty. They played a lot of my favorites and some that I haven't heard before.
There was a veteran group of fans that sat behind us up in the balcony, adding a lot to the experience. Loudly.
So what is it, that all concerts that I've been too lately I always smell a little 'reefer madness' wafting through the air? Not that the Spankers would discourage it; they have a lot of herbal themed tunes.
Good concert, good band. Any band that closes a show with a tribute to Beer Beer Beer … just has to be great.
