We the people of
So those of you who still have an opportunity to vote today and on through June remember: A vote for Hillary is a vote for McCain. How do I figure? Well, in the highly unlikely attempt to get Hillary the nomination, the Democrats will lose independent voters. Why? Because, No matter who wins the Democrat nomination they will automatically get all the Democrat votes in November, almost assuredly, as McCain will get all the republican votes (if Hillary is the Democrat candidate). Nothing will rally the Republican base like a vote against Hillary, I can almost guarantee that. I also can guess that all the Independents will either one, stay home or two vote for another 4 years of Bush-Lite if they face the option of voting for Hillary. Now …
If Obama wins the nomination, the Independents and all the democrats and I even wager a few moderate republicans will jump on the Barack Bandwagon, because they do not want another four years of Bush-Lite, and the Independents and surely the cross party republicans loathe Hillary enough to vote for a new and inspiring face. So …
This leaves us with the recent armor kinking of Obama with the "Bitter Gods and Gun" comment and the association with Rev. Wright: Two things. In comparison with how many gaffs and cover ups and flip flopping by Hillary over the last 16 years? Come on! Really? The truth is Americans DO cling to more basic values when everything else is perceived to fail them. It was an observation of human nature. Barack’s mistake is that he said it out loud during an election year in earshot of the super viral media that will pounce on ANYTHING. Americans also cling to sound bites and fragmented context and much of the country is stuck on the Rev. Wright association. Face it, Wright is a loon, egomaniac... he sees his 15 minutes of fame and he’s riding it as long as he can, and apparently he doesn’t care who he brings down in the process. Heck, no one would ever talk to me if everyone I have ever associated with, sat in audience of, or affiliated with was a over baring refection on my independent thought and actions. But they aren’t. So I am not them. Are You?
I have voted. Have you?
