The Anti-Gizmo

My son is death to electronic devices. He has stepped on the iPod he got last Christmas, destroying it. He has dropped his cell phone in the toilet while he flushed it. He has crushed the screen of his play station portable (psp). I was already very leery of buying him any other devices. But then this weekend, three days after his birthday where I got him another iPod, he drowns both the replacement cell phone and the new iPod in a swimming pool. Phone is toast. IPod is now stuck in 'hold' making it virtually useless. I'm trying to dry the iPod out, hoping that current $150 investment returns to the living. I think he understands now that any new devices he desires he'll have to buy himself. We're done sacrificing technology to his careless hands.

I do, however encourage Apple to create a waterproof/shockproof armored iPod.
