Since my wife and I have been married, the usual character traits emerge that seem incompatible at first but really don't amount to much controversy at all. But one topic has arisen over and over now. My wife has a made an observation and has accused me of being the culprit. However, I know with some self-assurance that I am not the guilty offender. The love of my life says I don't put the new roll of bathroom tissue on the spindle; that I just sit it on top as the old roll runs out. Oh sure, perhaps a couple time in my life I've done that. I personally think it's silly not to just put the new roll on, it takes seconds, and in my memory that is usually what I do. (Making sure that the paper rolls over the top, but that's a whole other conversation). She insists that it has to be me. Still, I know I'm not the frequent offender she accuses me to be. Until this morning, when I saw that someone had put a new roll on a nearly spent roll. Aha! I KNOW I didn't do this one. So someone else has done it, and it wasn't my 'bad memory' this time. I did not do this! Therefore, I took a picture before and after. I know it proves nothing. It proves only to me that my memory isn't going as fast as I had worried it was.
