No one thought McCain was an advocate for the right of women to make choices about their own body, but during Wednesday night's debate he demonstrated he doesn't have a lot of concern for the health of women in general. I'd probably be safe to say he hasn't been a fan of women having a 100% equal rights as the average white American male (such as Joe the Plumber) may have. Like Janis' impassioned rant on Kos, it will be difficult to be patient these next couple weeks while we imagine what kind of "Qualified" Justices McCain will line up to fill the Supreme Court if he, by some dark miracle gains the presidency. As a father of a daughter, I cringe to think her rights as a human being would be reduced to an air quote and a snarky eye-rolling grin.
