That's right ... I'm not the only famous thing that was born on November 20th. The International Space Station's first section Zarya was lifted into orbit Nov. 20th 1998. Ten years ago, despite all our bumping our political heads and flexing our military muscle, the international community actually did something together (aside from the Olympics I guess). And mostly it was the US and Russia, but also the Europeans, Japanese and others managed to build a huge expensive piece of equipment in orbit with people on it for 10 years now. That's a pretty amazing accomplishment. I'm a bit much less of one in comparison.
