Well, hasn't been an interesting couple of days. What? You have not heard? Surely, you must know by now my problems with my cable internet connect; how it can be very unreliable when you need it most, like when you have to turn in work for school, how it makes the teenagers in the house grumble and bitch more than they do already. Well, all day yesterday when I was home off work the internet was on 15 minutes off 15 minutes with lots of curse words in between. Then I found out if you twitter a nasty comment about Comcast, they twitter back with "help". Yes, they're listening … now even. Well, after a successful morning of ordering our new cell phones, I felt confident to deal with the cable company and tried to swap out gateways, well that didn't work as you can read in the post from yesterday. So my wife took veteran's day off and I (the veteran) went to work. She calls me and says that the cable company wants to fix our problem today, and give us a super break on our internet bill. Figures, but they've promised that before and didn't fix it. So we're getting DSL to try for awhile, give Qwest a chance at reliability. So I come home to find out the internet has been good all day. The connection was now ok. Well, crap. Still too late, I gave the phone company a two commitment to lock in our price. My wife raves about their reliability, so I believe her.
Then when I came home I see an email from Verizon that my bank card declined on our cell phone order. D'oh. We have plenty of money to cover the order, what was going on? Well as I was talking to the nice lady at Verizon I noticed that the card I used was the Master Card bank card, and I knew exactly what I did…. I told the intertubes that I was using a Visa card. She ran the order again and we'll see how it goes tomorrow when they process the cards. So phones will probably be delayed by a day. <sigh>
Really, not a very interesting story. But I really wanted to show off my Sleestack Photoshopping I did. Awesome huh? Some days I feel like this guy looks.
