Turkey: Not the Bird

Hey, I have nothing against the country of Turkey. They're doing pretty good since Ottoman times. However, do they need to be making our candy? I bought my daughter some sugar coated nasty candy thing and noticed that the country in which it was made was Turkey. Why? See this is what is wrong with this country. Why can't we make our own nasty sugar coated candy here in America? It can't possibly be that much more cheaper to make kid candy on the other side of the planet and ship it into the local supermarket. Why can't it be made in Iowa where the corn syrup is grown? I'm all for the global economy and everything but having Turkey sell us our candy is absurd. Sheesh! Really!!!
