Our snowfall from yesterday was coated with a nice quarter inch layer of ice this morning when I went out to get the paper. The rain falls but its destiny is to be frozen on contact. We had hoped that when the heavier rain came this afternoon it was start melting this nightmare, it's leaving us kind of stuck. We would rather have it rain than what it has been doing lately. We are having a real hard time getting to work, getting food, and Christmas Shopping.
Looking at the weather report does not help much either. I go to the weather web sites and get little widget read-outs that look like this:
High of 29°
Low of 30°
Currently 28°
WTF?
And I really don't appreciate a forecast of "Wintry Mix" – What the HELL is that? The little picture seems to suggest that pearls are going to drop. I don't that is going to happen, but I really don't know what this means either. Snow? Rain? Frozen Rain? Hail? Brimstone? What?
