Haznodyne - Folk You!

In an effort to be a better person I have decided to start a bluegrass/world-beat cover band. You may ask, "how that makes me a better person"? It keeps me sane. You see, I’m not really starting a real band, but a fantasy band. This will make me a better person. You just wait and see buddy, you just wait and see.

Ok, here are the rules. Only allowed are traditional bluegrass instruments; acoustic guitars, resonator guitars, upright bass, banjo (5 string), mandolin, and fiddle. Then I reserve the right to add any and all ukuleles, bongo drums and a cajon. I also want to add the option for these oddballs; tenor guitar, tenor banjo, octave mandolin, mandola, bouzouki, tenor mandolin, mandocello, or any other lute-like instruments if the occasion should arise. But that’s it! Ok, maybe a cello. (I’ve already told my wife she needs to learn the fiddle)

Ok, we have the instrumentation but here’s the rub; the band can only cover these artists: Madonna, Guns N Roses, The Doors, The Replacements, Billy Joel, Elvis Costello and Nirvana. That’s it. No exceptions. It’s my game; I make the rules here.
I shall call the band Haznodyne. Yup, I already bought the domain name. And the t-shirts well read “Haznodyne: Folk You”
