Today the entire Blackberry data service stopped working. All over North America people panicked and poked frantically at their devices. I know I did. We don’t know why yet, but RIM (the company in charge of the network) is said to be fixing the problem. really? Better before people start returning their Christmas Blackberries for Androids or iPhones. One would think there may be a back up system planned. I guess not. Doesn’t bode well in my book.I can’t update my plan until July 2010 without penalties, but any more days like this and my blackberry would make for a better paperweight than a smart phone.
